Roxanne
Roxanne McCoy-Klaus has been doing hair for over 10 years. She has been extensively trained in Tulsa, Oklahoma under her very talented mother, Ikuko McCoy, and Broken Arrow Beauty college. Roxanne moved to Lawrence in 1997 and worked at the trendy Sakaroff's Hair Salon for over six years. During that time she also trained other stylists as an educator for Rusk, travelling to other cities and salons to share her knowledge and technique. In the winter of 2003, Roxanne and another stylist/friend opened a small studio salon known as Salon Kawaii in the lovely downtown Lawrence. After maximizing at Salon Kawaii in a year and a half, Roxanne was able to obtain the courage to open Static Hair Salon in June of 2005. Now as an owner and stylist she is happier than ever and looks forward to continue to grow as a stylist with continued education and with the Static family. Roxanne specializes in cuts, color, highlighting, So.Cap hair extensions and facial waxing.
Kevin
The very talented Kevin Shutts has been cutting and coloring hair for over 5 years. Kevin went to school in Wichita, Kansas at Xenon International School of Pivot Point Hair Design. He has an incredible knowledge of product and has been intensely educated in Aveda and Loreal. Also, Kevin has participated in many continuing education opportunities for cutting and coloring, including our newest product line, Kevin.Murphy. Kevin specializes in men's haircuts and finding the perfect hairstyle to fit a woman's lifestyle.
Debbie
Debbie Daneke who specializes in coloring, as well as cutting and stying, found her home in downtown Lawrence, after exploring several opportunities, at Static over three years ago. She attended the Community College of Cosmetology in Topeka, Kansas and is continuing her love of the field for over 12 years now. Debbie has taken many opportunities to continue her education as well, including multiple trips to New York for cut and color classes and many local training classes for Loreal, PureOlogy, and Kevin.Murphy.
Jen
Jen Nickels is a personable and attentive stylist with two years of experience. Having completed an apprenticeship with Aveda, Jen joined the Static team with an extensive knowledge of color theory and is highly competent in color technique. Jen is also well versed in Vidal Sassoon, American Crew and Hikari cutting techniques. She specializes in dry cutting, men's cuts, curly hair and takes great pride in her listening skills and customer service. Jen describes Static as "an idyllic salon with the most talent and the least ego you will find in one building."
Jessi
Jessi Streff is a Lawrence native that has been in the hair industry for over four years. She completed her cosmetology training at the American Academy of Hair Design in Topeka, KS. There she was trained under Pivot Point Hair Design technique and became knowledgeable with Redken color and products. While in school, she also attended many educational opportunities provided by Paul Mitchell. Her passion for hair started with formal styling which earned her top awards in local fashion shows for hair design and sculpting. She went on to complete an apprenticeship through Static Hair Salon by Roxanne McCoy-Klaus in 2006. She has had the great opportunity to attend the Midwest Fashion Hair Show in Chicago, IL, L’Oreal haircutting class in New York, and extensive training in Rusk cutting and L’Oreal coloring techniques. Jessi specializes in waxing, men and women cuts, coloring, highlighting, and formal styling. She feels very proud and privileged to be working next to the best stylist in Lawrence, Kansas.
